NYBFAA
Representing the interests of the New York Electronic Life & Security Industry. The New York Burglar & Fire Alarm Association is the trade association for the New York Alarm Industry. The NYBFAA represents Security Alarm Companies, Manufacturers, and Distributors that do business in the State of New York.
If you are a consumer, this site will help you find trained alarm dealers in your area who meet the high standards of the New York Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (NYBFAA). You can also obtain important information to help make the right decision in the purchasing of a new burglar or fire alarm system.
Association members can use this site to obtain association information and keep current on the latest issues, training, and events. Please register if you are a NYBFAA member to gain access to the extensive multi-user forums, internal webmail system, downloads, etc. Registering will also provide access to the personal messaging system as well as your personal address book. Administrators, log-in here.
This website was designed to fulfill the communication needs of the NYBFAA and take the association well into the 21st Century. The Fundamentals of Structured Wiring
A six hour online course that provides a comprehensive review of residential
structured wiring, including fundamentals, benefits, layout, installation, and
testing. Course is designed for new home technology installers, builders, or
do-it-yourself homeowners and teaches laying the structured wiring foundation
for technologies in the home.
CEU Course Number 06-1665 - .6 CEU credits awarded
Home Networking for Installers
A thorough, six hour online course that teaches students the fundamental
knowledge they must know to install computer networks, including design,
components and configuration. This course is designed specifically for
residential technology installers, builders, or do-it-yourself homeowners.
CEU Course Number 06-1681 - .8 CEU credits awarded
Whole House Audio Technology and Distribution
Six hours of online instruction covering the fundamentals, benefits, technology,
components, design, and installation of whole house audio distribution systems
for residential installers/integrators, builders, and do-it-yourself homeowners.
